This is a glorious day for Jaguar, for Britain, and for the exotic sub-continent of India!

Now, to hope that the XE depreciates like a proper Jag...

Have they put a proper transmission in it yet? That’s what’s kept me from Jags in the past. About the time they figured out how to make a car that wasn’t a less reliable Taurus they forgot how to put a manual gearbox in performance cars.

The want is strong for this... Jaguar is starting to supplant Volvo for my preferred multi-line European auto maker. Not that I don’t like Volvo and where it’s headed (the XC90 is extraordinary), just Jag makes more cars that I find appealing right now than Volvo. Now if Volvo would go back to RWD....

Yes sir! And when they put the 5 liter, supercharged, V8 in it? Well bye bye C63 & M3!

They do offer a manual, but only with the diesels, sadly. They’ve seen the light with the most recent F-Type, so here’s hoping the performance XEs will have a third pedal available.

Man, I hope this car does well for them. Jaguar are my favourite manufacturer and the XE is probably the closest I’ll come to buying one, I just hope it hangs around.
